The Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC) is proud to announce its Annual African American Film Marketplace and S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase.  Since its inception in 1994, African American Film Marketplace and S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase have been a platform for rising and established filmmakers from emerging voices, while exploring innovations in storytelling across film, television, online, and more.

The Festival presents a combination of documentaries and short films, features multiple filmmakers. The community-at-large is invited annually  to celebrate the artistry of  filmmakers whose projects cover diverse topics, stories, techniques and broad themes multi-layered with humor, drama, and reality.

This year’s  S. E. Manly Short Film Showcase features films from across the globe.

All films are shorts in length of 60 minutes or less and present a combination of documentaries and short films, from emerging filmmakers and representing diverse voices and storytelling.

August 19th-August 28th

This year’s S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase begins Friday, August 19th at 12:00pm PDT and ends August 28th at 11:59pm PDT and will be presented in a hybrid format. Films will be available virtually  24/7 from August 19th-29th on www.bherc.tv  and in-person at the Cinemark 18 & XD theater at Howard Hughes Los Angeles on August 20-21 and August 26-28.
